About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Lead Windshield Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll handle windshield and auto glass installation and repair, while also mentoring junior technicians and helping ensure every job meets our quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in precision work and wants to help build a strong shop.

 

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and repair windshields and auto glass on a wide range of vehicle makes and models

• Diagnose glass damage and recommend repair vs. replacement

• Apply urethane/adhesive systems correctly to ensure proper seal and safety standards

• Calibrate ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) equipped windshields where applicable

• Inspect completed work for quality, leaks, and proper fit

• Train, guide, and oversee junior and entry-level technicians

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Manage inventory of glass, adhesives, and tools; flag reorder needs

• Communicate with customers about repair timelines, warranties, and vehicle care

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and manufacturer specifications

 

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience installing and repairing windshields/auto glass

• Strong knowledge of adhesive systems, safe drive-away times, and glass safety standards

• Experience with ADAS calibration preferred

• Ability to lead, train, and support other technicians

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) certification or equivalent

• Experience with mobile glass repair/installation

• Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role
